Film Photography in Las Vegas
Last Thanksgiving, we went to Las Vegas as a family. This was our first trip, and I was not sure how my autistic son would like Vegas. He loves going to the zoo and Safari park in San Diego and that is our default. But this time we wanted to switch it around and give him a different experience.
To our surprise and delight, he enjoyed it a lot. We walked around the strip, took trips in the tram, and enjoyed the sights and sounds of the strip. When we do family trips, I go out in the mornings to take photos. During the day, the focus is on being together as a family and enjoying the experience.
I wanted to document the experience in film. I took my Minolta X-370 and had a roll of Fuji 400 and one roll of Fuji Gold. Most of the strip photos were taken using the Fuji 400. It was a good learning experience. I can not stop like I would normally do and take my time. We move fast when we are with him, and I take photos when there is a time window. I think in the end it turned out well.
